Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day was a blast! I made chicken kabobs with teriyaki chicken and pineapple, coconut rice, and and an Asian inspired slaw. My sister in-law brought a banana cake with cream cheese frosting. Hope you all had a wonder full day!

For breakfast I had an egg sandwich and a clementine… I had a really great picture but I delete it on accident!

Snack

For snack I had hummus, pita chips, and a clementine!

Lunch

For lunch I had a tuna sandwich and a clementine.

Dinner

For dinner we had Daphine’s I had two gyros, salad, a lemon chicken soup! It was a huge calorie dinner and I was stuffed.

Tuesday’s picture of my oatmeal made it look disgusting and I really did not want oatmeal this morning but I did not want to waste my berries. This morning it was actually good!

For a snack I had carrots and a cutie!

For lunch I had left over Asian salad and a rice crispy treat for dessert!

Dinner

For dinner I had a tuna sandwich because the hubster is at a meeting. On my sandwich I put tomatoes, mixed green, whole grain Dijon mustard, and tuna salad.

Yep you got it… what I have been waiting for all day!

Exercise

I went for an hour run with Georgia and did the sexy fit beast workout you can find here bodyrock.tv. Here is the workout breakdown:

30 x Side Jump Lunge (each jump counts as 1 rep)

3 x Walking Plank (3 steps to the side in the plank position)

3 x Walking Plank (3 steps to the side in the plank position) to the other side

3 x Push Up and Forward Jump

Her workout video is a little different I just added and extra set of push ups and plank walks.

After this I stretched for 20 min! This girl has got some tight hammies!

I found this new band I love called Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros and I love them! Click the name of the band for a link to my new favorite song! Breakfast

For breakfast I had chocolate milk and an english muffin with butter! This is what the hubster usually has and his looked so good I wanted some for myself!

Snack

Hmmm what was all that talk about healthy eating yesterday 🙂 Well at least I ate the grab and go size not the family size!

Lunch

For lunch I had a tuna sandwich and two pickles!

Hmmm another unhealthy but tasty snack!

Dinner

A big-ol Asian salad yum!

Dessert

Well how long did you think I could go with out dessert! Yep I got my butt in the car right after dinner and headed to the market for my favorite ice cream (Ralph’s brand German chocolate cake chocolate ice cream) and left feeling like a better person 🙂 I figured that it would be better to cut down on my portion sizes and enjoy my ice cream! This girl has got to live!

Exercise

Zip, zero, and zilch! Nope instead of exercising I took and hour nap and it was great! I never regret a nap… relaxing is what I do best and you can never mess with perfection!

Long Time No Blog!

Hey Sweets!

I have been off the blog circuit for a while now! Last week the hubster and I and some of my fam went to Hawaii! We had a great time and a post with pictures will follow soon! Hopefully I can get back on track with blogging now! I have found that, like my blogging my commitment to heath and fitness in very in consistent! I am all gung-ho one week and gung-not the next! I need to get committed and that is what I plan to do over the next few months. So get out your jogging shoes and for heaven’s sake please put down the cake and get ready for posts filled with exercise and healthy eating! After all an apple a day keeps the doctor away…but who would want to keep this doctor away!

Yesterday’s Food!

For breakfast I had oatmeal with fresh blueberries, strawberries, low-fat milk, and agave sweetner.  I really wanted cream instead of milk but I am trying to be committed to health and it doesn’t taste that much different!

Snack

For a mid morning snack I had reduced guilt pita chips (about 7-10 chips) and hummus! It was delish and satisfying!

Lunch

For lunch I had a tuna sandwich on whole wheat sourdough, a pickle, a clementine, and sparkling water! It was super tasty but, I forgot lettuce and the whole grain dijon mustard I wanted to put on it! The clementine was so sweet and a huge bag of them were on sale for only 2.99!

Snack

For  my afternoon snack I had pita chips, hummus, a clementine, and sparkling water!

Dinner

 

For dinner we had salad with olive, carrots, tomatoes, and goat cheese! I also made my turkey Asian flavored meatballs (the recipe is a few posts back or you can email me if you want it). I know you are not going to believe it but I did NOT have any ice cream!

Exercise

I went for an hour run with Georgia after work and it was fantastic! Georgia usually likes to take breaks and lay on the grass (at first I thought it was because she was too hot but she does it even with the weather is mild so I think she just likes to relax!) and this time I laid on the grass with her!

Movie

We rented “Fair Game” with Naomi Watts and Sean Penn… it was ok. I thought it was a bit boring.  Sunday night we rented “Love and Other Drugs” and that was cute!
